Both Shell and Meijer are top tier gas places, so you probably wouldn’t see a difference. The original question is interesting because you have a brand that isn’t top tier buying up a brand that is. I can only assume they will stop using Shell’s formulation in favor of their own. So if you believe the experts, at least one of whom has already responded, you should stop going there if they downgrade their gas.

I doubt they are buying Shell. They are merely buying up those locations. They are probably convenience stores trading hands then Casey's moves in their own brand of gas.

I will admit I have never heard of Casey's nor have seen any stations.
It's been years since I lived in the Midwest and they weren't around back then.
Interesting.

Not quite that simple.
Merely because you start with the same base now equate to the same final product.

We have both a Coke and Pepsi bottler here. They get their water from the same place. In the end Coke and Pepsi are not the same.
Similar, yes the same certainly not.

Not Shell as a whole but at least 20 Shell locations and doing complete renovations.
Have to have some capitol. Reading shows they are mainly in Kansas and Iowa.
Have not been to either of those states in decades so.

Caseys is one of the more common gas stations here in NWA. I use them about half the time.

They offer non-ethanol gas too, which is less common at chain gas stations around here. Most of the other non-ethanol options are mom-and-pop places off the beaten path.

I have some friends who rave about their pizza, but considering how cheap and easy pizza is to make, I can't bring myself to pay the hefty premium for premade pizza these days, when I can make it cheaper and better myself.

They have 2500+ stores all over the midwest and upper south, and and they just announced an expansion into a few dozen new locations in Texas next. They're the third largest gas station chain in the country, behind 7-11 and Circle K.

They built one close to my house and I was happy, until they got sued for water in the fuel.
