Up for grabs is this moderately-used Bosch GLM15 laser measurement device:

It's still fully functional. I replaced it, yesterday, with a GLM20, which has back-lighting. Figured it was about time I did another karma Smile

It may be off by as much as 1/16". Or maybe not Either way: Well within its stated ±1/8" (±3mm) accuracy.

For those that do any amount of construction-type work this is a terrific tool. I've used the ever-lovin' heck out of this one.

Only rule is you must've been a member as of NLT Monday, 2019-07-09.

I'd prefer it go to a member who actually does the kinds of things for which this tool would be useful. (Share a project story, if you like.)

I'll let this run until interest seems to wane, or the mood strikes, then the karmanator will choose. I'll ship it anywhere in CONUS, USPS First Class, on my dime. (Batteries not included.)

Unlucky No. 1! I could really use that on the farm.

I'm always measuring something; jump lines, fence lines, interior trim, doors, doing layout, floors, etc.

Just yesterday, I did a materials list for two rooms worth of floor moulding. PITA, but I got it done with a diagram and tape measure.

Thanks for the chance.

That's gotta make a huge difference from the standard tape measure. Please add me to the list and thanks very much for the chance.

I just started finishing my basement and am still framing. This would be very helpful.

I would use that. Please enter me in this excellent Karma!

This would benefit me as I just now learned that the second measurement was supposed to be before the one cut, rather than after to see how far off you were.

"The people hate the lizards and the lizards rule the people."
"Odd," said Arthur, "I thought you said it was a democracy."
"I did," said Ford, "it is."
"So," said Arthur, hoping he wasn't sounding ridiculously obtuse, "why don't the people get rid of the lizards?"
"It honestly doesn't occur to them. They've all got the vote, so they all pretty much assume that the government they've voted in more or less approximates the government they want."
"You mean they actually vote for the lizards."
"Oh yes," said Ford with a shrug, "of course."
"But," said Arthur, going for the big one again, "why?"
"Because if they didn't vote for a lizard, then the wrong lizard might get in."

Please add my name.

I use a tape measure almost daily at work. I have used lasers for framing and layouts I've never used one for measurements.

Have been wanting to try one out though.

I would definitely get some use out of it.

Please add me, could be quite useful vs pacing out measurements for wire lengths. My stride is pretty damn close to 3', but I wouldn't put it in the +/- .125" category.

What a wonderful karma. Please include me. I am old fashioned and still use a wooden rule for the most part, but my wife has (over the past two yeas) embarked on building and construction projects around our house. She would love it.

Would love to have it!
My current project is a floating deck encircling our 24 foot pool and extending out to a square on one side. At nearly 1,000 sq feet it is bigger then either of the first two houses I owned! Working completely alone, except for some staining done by my girls... so, yep, I could have used that laser measure. I am maybe 80 ~ 90% done now but there is always something else in the works.

Here is a Postimage gallery of several snapshots of the build taken just whenever the notion hit me, if interested.

I started the build on June 4. No nails... all screws, most in predrilled holes... over 5k used... so far!
