Unapologetic dog lover here. Other than having a Subbie in the family, no affiliation, nor to a shelter either.
Marketing aside, if you or someone you know is thinking about giving a shelter pet a forever home, maybe look into getting a few bucks sent their way...$100 probably helps out a good bit.
Oct. 22 is their 2nd Annual National Make a Dogs Day.

Despite some people's claims to the contrary, 5 lbs. is actually different than 12 lbs.

SW_Sig*Subaru of America, Inc. and it’s Retailers will donate $100 for every dog or cat adoption from partner shelters from October 1 through October 31, 2020, up to $3,100 in total.”

Boss1Yes, $0 would definitely be better than $3100.

By my math, that translates to 31 pets in forever homes...I'll take it.
Perhaps Subaru's sales through Q2 2020 being down like 20% over last year might have something to do with it...and I'm sure those commercials are free too...

Could they do more? Probably, but as they say, don't let perfection be the enemy of good.
$.02 worth.

This total is for EACH participating dealer, to their local shelter, so the ultimate figure can go much, much higher.

az4783054There's nothing stopping the buyer of a Subaru from donating to their local shelter and/or adopting a dog or cat.

corsairSuburu's marketing department has extra funds that it needs to use before the end of the year. In a smart move to be non-political, they're targeting pet adoption. Last I checked, there's not a lot of dogs/cats available for adoption at local shelters.

Boss1My take is the ad is, at least in part, attempting to get the 'less than perfect' pets adopted.
Can we at least agree that this is a modest attempt to move the needle in the right direction to this worthy effort?

I personally love this idea. Every little bit helps these animals. They were never created to be in jail like this.
Thank you for sharing.
