City of Rochester NY to sue gun mfgrs
We are on track to set a record for gun homicides this year, breaking the record set last year. This'll fix it!!! Whenever I think our politicians can't get any dumber, they prove me wrong.

Gun mfg's should sue the politicians for being lax on crime.

note: sue the politicians - not the government.
sue the government = the people foot the bill
sue the politicians = they get stuck with it

No, but the manufacturer can't be sued unless they had criminal intent or something along those lines.

Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act (PLCAA) is a U.S law, passed in 2005, that protects firearms manufacturers and dealers from being held liable when crimes have been committed with their products. Both arms manufacturers and dealers can still be held liable for damages resulting from defective products, breach of contract, criminal misconduct, and other actions for which they are directly responsible. They may also be held liable for negligent entrustment when they have reason to know a gun is intended for use in a crime.

WHAT/WHO is Napoli Shkolnik?

Sounds like whomever they are, they made the argument and provided whatever means the Rochester's attorney's office wanted in order to file this waste of gov time and resources.

Pretty sure that law is no longer valid after Remington paid out $73m. I can't think they would pay that money if they thought that law still applied.

No evidence that law is "no longer valid". The probably found some other angles of attack to sue Remington and succceeded.

When will these IDIOTS start suing car manufacturers because of drunk drivers?

I have passed the stage of wondering how much further the stupidity will go. I have come to the conclusion that there is no limit to their stupidity.

It's still valid. It was their insurance company that wanted to pay.

Typical democrat BS let the criminals run free to do whatever they want. Prevent legal gun owners the right to carry under threat of a felony. Sue the gun manufacturers? What a f'n joke. Some asshole asks me what time it is so I look at my phone and get my head bashed in? No my answer is "time for you to run"!

Well hell! While they are at it, they should sue General Motors, Ford, Mercedes, BMW, etc. for all the people who were killed while driving drunk. Go ahead and throw Budweiser, Miller, etc. into the mix for manufacturing the alcohol and lets not forget the bars and servers that gave it to them...got to get all of them to get Top Dollar!!

I wish for ONCE our Retarded Government would actually function the way it was intended instead of this Jacked Up POS we have now!

I would submit that in their opinion, they are doing just that. No part of “gun control” is geared towards solving problems with violent gun related crime. It is all about creating enough manufactured outrage that a significant portion of the population gets on board with disarming the vast majority of gun owners that commit ZERO crimes.
