When I was in High School, many moons ago, I worked as a cook and we usually did the oven method since the grill was always full of hash browns and other items for the breakfast rush, it always turned out crispy and didn't shrink as bad.
When we were in a hurry to get some cooked bacon we would throw it in the deep fryer in between 2 baskets, also making crispy bacon fast. but high shrinkage.
I like the cast iron pan mostly now.

My method is not included:
Electric skillet.
Cast Iron skillet is great too, but not large enough to cook 7 pieces completely flat.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

I've tried microwave between paper towels and the cast iron skillet. Am not equipped to do other methods (oven has not been turned to "Bake" in 30 years--it does work on "Broil", which I use for hot dogs). I prefer cast iron skillet.

As I read this I am sitting here eating two crisp slices of bacon that my wife just cooked for me in the microwave. All I can say is not bad.... Wink

Just two?

Is that to tide you over until the rest of the bacon is done?
