SportshooterTexas Is About to Expand Its Program for Teachers Carrying Guns
Link“Change is coming, if slowly, in the United States. Twenty states currently allow teachers and staff to carry guns to varying degrees on school property. Florida’s just enacted law expanding their program.
Texas’ Senate overwhelmingly passed a measure by a 20-to-11 margin that removes the cap on the number of school personnel that can carry firearms at schools. The bill heads to Governor Greg Abbott’s desk, and he is certain to sign it into law.”

flashguyI think it's a great idea, and am glad my (adopted) state is doing it.

gearhoundsWhen the states that allow armed teachers begin experiencing lower numbers of school shootings, the left will ignore, falsify, or downplay the facts to continue the attack on our rights. Keep up the pressure America.

Florida's law is a damn joke. They allow discretion, and the local school boards to decide if they will allow their teachers to carry. Anyone want to guess how the vast majority of liberal ran school boards are voting on this issue? I'd estimate that less than 10% of counties are going to allow their teachers to carry. And these are rural counties, with small schools. So probably less than 2 or 3% of the states student population will go to these schools that allow teacher carry. A worthless fucking law that needs revamped.
Also, the law as written requires that teachers that carry to have MORE firearms training than their local cops get. Like 50% more. Who is going to pay for that? Who is going to pay for the teachers salary for 2 months, as they are essentially attending a police academy for months to get "certified" to carry a gun at school? What teacher will go through with this headache? What sheriffs office will even offer to train these teachers, for the required time and huge expense? The law should state that if you have a valid conceal carry permit, then you can carry, and that you don't need approval from your boss or local school board.
