Vinny, several of us deal with this throughout our lives, and nothing changes the emptiness we feel when our family members go. How they go, in the end, is irrelevant. They've gone to the rainbow bridge. The emptiness you feel is equal to the emptiness I felt when my Morgan left. I still mourn, and am somewhat conflicted when I see a picture, or remember something she would do, etc., but in the end I know I gave her the best I could give, and she returned it two-fold.

Take comfort there are others here who know your pain, but only time is going to heal the wound of your loss.

Absolutely heart wrenching, I cannot even begin to comprehend the crushing grief you are surely feeling. I’m so very sorry.

I’m so sorry for your loss. We’re coming up on 4 and 5 years for Sadie and Zosia respectively. At times I swear I can hear their barks. It just goes to show how much of our hearts they occupy. It’s obvious that Della was the exact same.

She looks like a lovely, sweet little dog. Nothing that happened was in any way your fault. You are a kind man, so, naturally, you thought to give the strays some water. Everything that happened after that was just life being as utterly unpredictable as it always can be.

I'm very sorry for your loss.

I am so very sorry. I wish there was something I could say to help ease the pain. Sadly, there is nothing I can say.

Very sorry to you and your wife Vinny. That is tough. Glad you got to a place to be able to tell the story. She did what dogs do. Rest now sweet girl.
