This numbskull at the National Catholic Reporter wants to be knitting at the guillotine as conservatives are marched up and processed.

No, Strambo. Not at all.
What you're missing here is that they, the "left", don't think that they'll have to do any of the fighting, dying, or suffering. They're pretty sure that somebody else will be doing it for them.
Thanks,

I just visited the NCR website, and for some odd reason, they recently disabled comments on their articles. I guess the site wouldn't be considered a "safe space" if dissenting commentary was allowed.
Of all the enemies the American citizen faces, the Democrat Party is the very worst.

Having just celebrated the anticipated murder of millions of Americans, next he'll complain that now he's getting death threats and that he is the victim.

I'm pretty sure that they just don't. And they also don't understand that me and my family won't be marched anywhere like cattle. They'll get me, I'm sure, but not before it costs them.

Jonesy, I was thinking the same earlier, but you said it better, sir. Too damn right. No socialist shits are dragging me out of my home without bullet holes I've put in through all of us. Myself, and all the takers.

They put together some half assed signs, 'like' a cause on Facebook, attend a 'march' for 2 hours once a year and think they're working 'hard' to make a difference.
They watch "Game Of Thrones", "John Wick", "The Badlands", etc from the comfort of their Lazy Boys and believe that there are other people out there who will do all the heavy work for them when the times comes.
When in reality....

The Catholic Church has been losing parishioners for years. Guys like this would seem to be the reason why.

That's why I tell everybody that you have to spin the fantasies the left says 180 degrees to see the reality.
Notice who they claim the fascists are? 180 degrees points us to reality.
The facists are the right leaning authoritarians. The socialists/communists are the left leaning authoritarians. Left is opposite the right, authoritarian is opposite libertarian. There’s a political spectrum 4 factor model that does a much better job mapping it out than I could.
The issue isn’t facism- it authoritarian- using government power to enforce its will on the populace at the end of a gun. Either left or right, authoritarian models have been tried and they result in the unjust murder of millions of people.

He doesn’t speak for the Catholic Church in any capacity. In fact, church leaders have requested that this publication change their name since 1968...
There’s a lot of reasons to leave the Catholic Church, this isn’t one of them.
There's more of us than them when it comes down to hard numbers. And "us" own most of the guns, are most of the veterans, police, firefighters, engineers, steelworkers...
But they do outnumber us in journalists, gender studies majors and welfare cases so they do have that going for them.

"They" always assume that any conflict would be restricted to the police and military fighting the rednecks out in the rural areas. They don't envision someone whacking them on their way to work, their family being in danger while they are out at the coffee shop, etc.
Of course, history shows that non-combatant civilians suffer greatly during civil wars and their casualties are huge.
Regardless of who "wins" it would SUCK.

Yeah, I don't know how some of you people get out of bed in the morning. All of this low unemployment, bigger paychecks, new construction, doubling the GDP, lowering illegal immigration, kicking the shit out of ISIS, and denuclearizing the Korean peninsula is killing me.
But maybe this pantload is right and I'm just wrong about reality? Maybe I should be super concerned since about 90% of the military, 80% of the police, and about 99% of gun owners are on my side.
And this jizz stain is about as Catholic as Westborough is Baptist.
Color me nonplussed.

Sure Trump can have his little successes. He can out the economy into overdrive with lower taxes, reduced regulation, lower unemployment, higher labor participation, manufacturing returning, improved consumer and investor sentiment. Sure the problems in North Korea may at long last be resolved. He may appoint fantastic justices to the Supreme Court. After eight long years, the rule of law is being restored. But all of this ignores the most crucial thing.
He says mean things on Twitter. Oh, and Russia.
God Bless and Protect our Beloved President, Donald John Trump.
