Since these are void of classified material, aren't those the ones they should have no problem releasing? Of course it's lies that the are concluding the missing ones are meaningless. They likely want to release as many meaningless emails to wade through just to be muckity, and maybe wish to inflate the "emails released" body count.

"primarily to facilitate the committee's access to potentially relevant text messages without having to cull through large quantities of material unrelated to either the investigation of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's use of a personal email server or the investigation into Russian efforts to interfere with the 2016 presidential election."

Once again the FBI thumbs its nose at legal congressional oversight. Nunes just needs to skip the threats and start issuing contempt citations. The people in the FBI do not want this investigation to procede. Trump needs to make it very clear to Sessions that if he cannot control the FBI he will find someone who will. The same goes for the new director, who so far is no better than the old director.

Nothing will change in until comsequences start being felt.
It is obvious that the FBI will not cooperate willingly. After Nunes threatened the first contempt charges the FBI and DOJ said they reached an agreement with congress to turn over ALL documents related to the investigation. Apparently the FBI now has moved the goal posts and has a different definition of "all". They had their chance, find them in contemp.

There is a stench emanating from the DOJ/FBI. We are somewhat confident that it doesn't involved every agent, suspect with fairly solid grounds that it involves a number of high ranking personnel, probably not the AG, or Director, perhaps not the DAG, but likely the Deputy and some Assistant Directors.
Faced with this, who should handle the prosecution and investigation necessary? Who can we trust? Who has the necessary experience and is free of taint to do a thorough, respectable, reliable job?

I am not sure who, but I am confident that in this ENTIRE COUNTRY, somewhere there resides a person who could be appointed as a special council and do the job dutifully. The only caveat I would insist on is that this person NOT be a lifelong swamp dweller (ahem, Mueller...). Those types of people have already proven themselves to be tainted.
