Just a heads-up guys I recently ordered my wife a new 18 Pro. It was set to be delivered by FedEx on the 23rd, and then there was a delivery exception. Two days later, I filed a ticket with FedEx and they called me saying they couldn’t find the phone. Three days after that, they marked it as delivered on the 23rd, but with no signature and no picture evidence of it being delivered. My Ring cameras did not capture anyone delivering anything at that time. Same exact thing happened to two other people I know. I ended up getting refunded. I live in North Carolina but travel for work currently, and Texas, so went into the phone store here in Waco to see about getting a new one and the man behind the counter said, “let me guess, your phone was stolen by FedEx.” He told me FedEx is even stealing their phones. They get deliveries every day and the boxes will be opened and if they’re supposed to get 25 phones there will only be eight or nine in the box. I guess this is becoming a real issue. If you plan on ordering a phone it might be best to just get it from an Apple store.

FedEx didn't steal your phone. Ja'Quan'ar-ious, a FedEx employee, stole your phone.

Most of their drivers are contractors so this is no surprise.

No way that’s the same guy who stole my bike as a kid! What are the chances?

There's a common denominator, but it's not that they are contractors.

I'm tired of behaving as if we don't know exactly what the problem is.

Yes. The problem is that Thieves are NOT Punished. Not in Grade School and Not as an Adult. If you are a minor today you can go into a neighbors house and strip it to bare walls and you won't ever be punished, in many cases charges won't even be filed. If your an Adult either the DA won't file or they will work out a "plea bargain" that does something to the effect of "no chocolate for you for a full week". Call ma a radical but I think that we need to bring back Public Hangings. That ain't gonna happen because we have allowed Pussies to take over.

I've stopped counting.

I pity the poor bastard who buys one of these off the street. Apple can blacklist the serial number, rendering the phone useless—and potentially leaving the buyer holding a trackable device that could help establish possession of stolen property.

Imagine paying good money for a phone that suddenly becomes a very expensive brick… with a history.

I believe Apple will always shut down the phone as soon as you report it as stolen.

Something similar happened to me with UPS. The Box was opened during transit and the iphone removed, and the box resealed. Fortunately for me, I had it marked to be picked up at the UPS store. It was obvious the package had been tampered with and was much lighter than it should have been. I refused to accept the package and got a refund...

Just want to point out that it’s Express that delivers iPhones. Not Ground.

And what's Fedex doing about it? Nothing.
