Every time I adj. The volume it tells me "speaker volume" How do I turn that off

Are you sure it isn't the TV?
Did this issue come out of nowhere or did you change something?

Using the DirecTv remote, or the remote for your television?

Thanks guys. Honestly I am not sure. It is my dads tv.
I am thinking it is the direct tv genie or whatever. His TV is a newer sony 65 inch.
Every time you adjust the volume on the peanut shaped remote a voice comes on telling you Volume 25,26,27,28 etc very annoying.

I searched the internet and discovered several pages of fixes. Must be a common problem.
