Expedition takes me back to the non smart keys. I am actually good with that. Though I liked how my Audi of old had the switchblade key.
Anyone know how I can tell if these will actually work for me??

I have one like that I bought from ebay for my Mustang. I followed the instructions that came with them and programmed it myself using the two factory keys that came with the car. Later on I also bought a different style one and programmed it the same way.

I don't know if the Explorer keys can be programmed the same way but if you have to use the dealer I think they can charge whatever they want to program them for you. I think a lock smith would be cheaper if you had to use one.
