I love the BUFF, but there is something distinctly unnatural about it being in level flight with its ass in the air like that. LOL

It's so it can fly faster, since it's going downhill the whole time...

Great photos. Watch a B-52 take off. No "rotation" just flotation.

That looks photoshopped. Overcast day, throwing shadow directly beneath aircraft. Good story fake photo is my bet. Not to mention the whole “we don’t have you” nonsense. So a CBG can’t find a 70 year old buff inbound?

Hopefully the carrier had it on their radar. If their radar couldn’t pick up a BUFF, they wouldn’t be able to pick up a sea skimming anti-ship missile.

How many of you remember the window decal sticker that (from about a full car length away) looked like the peace symbol of the hyppie 60"s. but at closer distance you could see the profile of a B-52 bomber from above looked down= you could see the shape of the engine pods . and around the bottom of the decal the words--- "Death From Above"..and or "Peace The Oldfashion Way"........ ...............drill sgt.

Look at the crewmen in the first picture. They are all looking at the plane.
If someone photoshopped that, they did a damn good job.

A little research shows that Buff crews did in fact train for this, so it’s not outside the realm of possibility this is real. There’s a story on line of a Buff doing the same thing to the Soviet fleet during the 1979 Iran hostage crisis.

A dhow-driver getting such a fly-by wouldn't be believed when (if) he could return to port.

The carrier is also throwing a shadow, the crew have indistinct shadows, the planes and the ship gear are showing slight highlighting from above. It's not impossible to have shadows on overcast days. Trust me, I've listened to my wife bit...complain about thin clouds not doing their job and flattening out the light for her landscapes. Wink

I think that answers the question.
