Your-an-us is the furthest planet I've viewed w/ my 10" dob. A little tiny aqua pin head. Neptune was supposed to be near-by but I couldn't find it. So much light pollution going up into the sky in years past, I'll probably never see it again from my current location. | |||

Thank you Para for posting this. I was able to get a picture of Jupiter and four of its moons using my camera on a tripod with a 300mm zoom lens. I have never been able to figure out how to post pictures very good. Every time I tried in the past it took me forever to figure it out and most of the time they posted huge. Thanks for the notice! I set up my spotting scope and showed my mom and my SIL saw what I think was Jupiter (had about 4 or 5 moons), saw Mars and also managed to see the rings of Saturn. Thank you Skins2881 for posting the picture for me. Thank you mark123 for offering to post my picture. One of these days I will figure it out how to post pictures. I have my avatar picture posted somewhere to be able to use it on the forum, I just have to find where. My wife has a photo bucket account so I thing this is where it is at.
