I see a steel cable running around waist/chest level. If that cable is safe......I would walk it tied in with a climbing harness.

Fascinating videos!!! The early one, ain't no way I'm doing that! The one after repairs, very interesting. This is a cool thread!

Here is a 22 minute version from before the repairs.

If the 6 minute version was too much, you may not to watch this one.

P.S. My stomach still hurts after watching this.

I have been in places 50x worse than that, sometimes with no rope. However, after watching the person next to me fall to his death, I pretty gave up on climbing and heights. When you have to trust others or other's equipment to not screw up, you have to ask if it is worth the chance.

I now stick to safe activities, such as diving, spear fishing, and shooting.

I used to like the thrill of being up high. But after 9/11 I have developed a phobia of being up high.
Even in high rise buildings, I am now very uneasy. I get vertigo just looking out of windows past about 10 floors up.

Flying used to be a fun convenient way to travel, now it's miserable.

There is no re-bar in the concrete! That shows how little engineering knowledge has gone into the construction of that walkway. If they have this little understanding, I would not trust any portion or component of the path.

I would not call that "repaired." It looks as if they just created a new walkway four or five feet above the original and used the original as a place to build the new one.

Evil exists. You can not negotiate with, bribe or placate evil. You're not going to be able to have it sit down with Dr. Phil for an anger management session either.
