I absolutely LOVE my new (used) Acer Nitro 5 gaming laptop computer! I bought it several months ago from my local gun store which is also a pawn shop. It looked to be in brand new condition, has lighted keyboard which I really needed, and had expansion bays available for two SSDs besides the HDD already installed. I bought it for $400.00, cloned the HDD onto a new 2TB SSD, plus added another 8GB of RAM. This thing does things like RIGHT NOW, including cold starts! I know most of you wouldn't trust a used laptop from a pawn shop, but you may be missing out if you're not willing to try! When money is as tight as it is in my household, sometimes you gotta just go for it! _____________________________ Bill R. North Alabama

I bought an Acer Swift 3 a few years ago and am pretty happy with it. It’s almost scary how fast it boots up Windows 11

How do you like Win11 vs Win10? My computer has plenty of horsepower and memory to run it, but when computers are involved, I cringe at the thought of making changes when what I have is working without any problems! For example, I've heard a rumor that I will have to update my old Epson printer/scanner's driver to work with Win11. While that may seem simple enough, the newer drivers force you to use Epson branded ink cartridges, whereas currently I use a different brand that works perfectly and costs less than half the price! I do not want that to change... _____________________________ Bill R. North Alabama

The one thing I miss from my HP Elitebook that this one replaced is the discrete left and right clicker buttons on the touchpad! Everything these days has them built in to the touchpad surface, and I just don't like that as well. I also have two old Dell laptops I need to dispose of; one with discrete clicker buttons, and one without. Guess which one was mine... yep, with the buttons! _____________________________ Bill R.
