This is true. However, there are many outboard GPS units that will work with iPad. Some provide GPS data via BlueTooth, some create a local WiFi signal. I'm not sure, but there might be some that use a lightning connector. They start at under a hundred bucks and go up from there, depending on the features that they have. I have flown with a Stratus unit -- $899.00 -- that provided WAAS GPS, air traffic data, and weather, all displayed as overlays on an iPad aviation app. It created a local WiFi environment, so everybody in the airplane who had the aviation app on iPad or iPhone could join in and use the real-time data. No, it was not mine; I'm not going to spend close to a thousand dollars on something like that. Plain old WAAS GPS units can be had for less than a hundred. The downside is, now there is an extra "box" and wires for power, to clutter the workspace. הרחפת שלי מלאה בצלופחים

Yes at top of page it says “customers” and in fine print at bottom it says “new customers”. I’m an existing customer and it was approved. We do have one of the Triple Packages with them. They send it FedEx with signature required. According to some other forums this means someone has to be home to sign for it. FedEx won’t leave it and won’t let you sign card if your not home for them to drop at second attempt. Again this is what I found when searching for the legitimacy of this deal. Mine is scheduled for today. It was also suggested to sign up for FedEx notifications. Several customers advised the Xfinity site didn’t update in a timely mater. So far the Xfinity site has kept updates going. It does take a few days between statuses. FedEx app still shows label created and a deliver date. You have to goto Xfinity Rewards site, xfinityrewardcenter.com, to keep up on status. Also note when ordered it will show that it might take 30days for delivery. But according to forums most are arriving in about 8 days. I ordered last Tuesday and it shows today as delivery day. Yes it does and when I saw the commercial for it I had the exact thought, what’s the fine print or catch. I did some googling and read a few forums and it showed legit. We shall see. I do have a confirmation from Xfinity and a conformation from FedEx with tracking number that it’s on the way. " like i said,....i didn't build it, i didn't buy it, and i didn't break it."

Shall Not Be Infringed |
That's great....Good for you, but this thread isn't about you! Did you read the OP? The whole point here is that 'NavyGuy' has an 8 YO iPad that IS Short on Memory, 'living on the edge' so to speak! Sooo, apparently the 'lack of expandable memory' on a device that is otherwise adequate definitely justifies the 'need' for some folks! That said, $120 for a 9.7" Apple iPad is a VERY Good Deal! The Comcast 'Offer Details & Restrictions' also stipulate that you must be a 'Triple Play' customer to qualify, so if you don't have their Phone or Home Security, in addition to TV & Internet you may be SOL! ____________________________________________________________ If Some is Good, and More is Better.....then Too Much, is Just Enough !! Well it’s legit. Arrived about an hour and half ago. FedEx dropped at door. No ring or knock. No signature required. 6th gen 128g space gray. You can only get space gray. So if you qualify it’s a great deal. Even has a 30day return with free return shipping label included. Just says wipe it clean before returning. Nicely packed also. It’s sealled as you would buy from Apple or any retailer. Note that FedEx app and Xfinity website both showed shipped a few days ago and are still showing shipped. Actually the FedEx app still shows label created and delivery date today. It’s had that status for a week now. So don’t really on either for pin pont delivery time. Told cops where to go for over 29 years… |
Yes, I did read the OP. Did you notice my reply was to a question asked by Jester814? Thread wasn’t about Anubismp either, but I notice you didn’t jump on him when he noted a laptop worked for him. As for the NavyGuy, an 8yo Ipad - memory issues aside - is well past time to replace it on age/performance alone. The info tells me he has the original iPad with 16gb of storage memory (and 256mb of system memory). Original iPad won’t work past iOS 5, current version is 12. Nothing lasts forever, it had a good run, time to let it go. My point was many people get hung up on the whole “no SD card!” drama without realizing that most users with 128gb or 256gb to start with probably will not need it. SD card expansion is a good idea when you drop $400 on a Samsung tablet and it only comes with 32gb of onboard memory. If you “want” it fine, if you “need” it fine. Some folks hear an argument for or against a “feature” and let it sway their decision without knowing whether or not that feature actually has any impact on their use of the item. What part of "...Shall not be infringed" don't you understand???

Thanks all. 128 is plenty of storage for my needs. I've got 128 on my iPhone 7 and after 2 1/2 years is still has over 100 free, and that's with a fair amount of pictures and songs. So the iPad gen 6 with 128 w/o phone service is what I'm getting. Men fight for liberty and win it with hard knocks. Their children, brought up easy, let it slip away again, poor fools.
