Recovering from water damage and finally getting the baseboards installed. It’s going well but I’m looking for suggestions for caulk and material to fill the nail holes. I was planning on DAP Alex paintable caulk and DAP plastic wood or spackle for the nail holes. Any other suggestions? 6” tall x 1/2” thick eased edge Craftsman base with corners cut to go around bullnose corners. For the trim I’ll be matching the cased windows and patio door that have 3/4” thick x 5 1/2” wide S4S vertical boards and would like to match all the doors and window to the two existing cased windows. However, some of the doors would only fit 3 1/2” wide door casing trim because of layout. Would that be appropriate or would it look odd or appear as poorly done? Thanks! DAP Dynaflex 230. It is elastomeric so it stays flexible like silicone BUT it can be painted after it sets up. The DAP Alex caulk tends to yellow over time, or at least it has for me.

230 for corners. For the nail holes, DAP Plastic Wood, the pink putty filler, is what we use. I just finished chair rail, picture rail, and (faux) judges panels below the chair rail in my dining room this past weekend. I'm gonna vote for the funniest frog with the loudest croak on the highest log.
