My take on Jomas is that their merchandise is technically used but looks new. Newly-married and immediately divorced in Las Vegas, you pawn a new Rolex. I changes hands a few times and makes it to Jomas. A Rolex dealer down on their luck moves a new watches out their back door to the "grey" market. Inventory buy-outs.

Joma is new products. They DO have pre-owned, but will be labeled as such.

Many are previous models that have been replaced by newer ones and the stores clear out the inventory to gray market dealers.

I don’t believe Jomashop would properly be labeled “gray market.”

Could be worth asking your question OP over on one of ther larger watch forums, like watchuseek.

I bought a casio mudmaster from Joma. Authentic, standard factory packaging, etc. I know thats not an Omega, but they were fine on the Casio.

I've bought an Omegafrom Jomashop (a Seamsster GMT about fifteen years ago) and a number of less-expensive items since. No issues, ever.

I'd still give David first crack at the deal, but Jomashop has a good rep.

A few years back I bought a Tissot from Jomashop. I bought it knowing that 1) it could have issues, 2) Jomashop had free returns.

The watch wasn't working correctly and I sent it back the day after getting it.


For an Omega, I would worry about the mechanism being damaged. If I were to buy one, for the money on an Omega the first thing would be to have it fully checked out by a certified Omega maintenance expert. If it passes great.

If not take advantage of the return policy.

Bought my Seamaster PO from Jomashop, came with sealed box, papers, Omega cards and Omega warranty card. Registered it on Omega's official website, and brought it to the AD in San Antonio for a calibration (+/-) 8 seconds in the first week. AD just smiled and recalibrated while I shopped for a new Omega Snoopy. MSRP was $6700 and I paid just at $3900 with all the discounts I could pile on.

I’ll let you know what happens. I just ordered a planet ocean from them yesterday. It was my first order from them.

Scot818, I’ve ordered a few Tissot watches and a Glycine from them but an Omega is on a bit of a different level. Let me know how it goes.

I've been trying to talk myself into a Hamilton Khaki from Jomashop. This thread is not helping. One of the videos posted before lead my back to maybe a Marathon. Every time I search I come up with Long Island Watch. One of the recommended online sites. But, I could use a dealer and grab a Luminox for half.

I got a good deal on a Hamilton from them. A simple fixable problem cropped up and they told me to pack sand. So you know what I think of the place.

I have a few Rolexes I bought used from well known online non-authorized dealers. Even though these were multi thousand dollar transactions buying off photos. But the reputation of these dealers Is impeccable. Not the dealer being discussed here. Not sure what’s going on with serial numbers and you can only go to them for service but I would buy a high dollar watch with a serial number that’s been polished off about like I’d buy a gun with a serial number that’s been polished off. Id pass on that particular watch if no serial #

I have made purchases from both JomaShop.com as well as AuthenticWatches.com and have been pleased with the transactions.

However my first call is always to David Truong to see if he has what I'm looking for in stock and/or can get it.

I'd buy all day long from Jomashop.

Long Island Watch has a stellar reputation. I've purchased from them and it was an excellent experience. If they have what you want you can't go wrong purchasing from them. The owner's YouTube channel "Watch and Learn" playlist is filled with knowledge if you like watches.
