First time in about three years. I haven't seen a squirrel in my yard all day.

We have a pair of bald eagles that live off the lake near my house. We also have quite a lot of hawks and owls around. For all the doom and gloom we hear about the environment, there are more big birds around here than there ever have been in my lifetime.

The last time I saw one was about six years ago. It was doing a fly by to try to catch a squirrel in the tree in my front yard. It just grazed him. The squirrel was going nuts for about 15 minutes afterwards, making a whole bunch of noise.

We have a nest in our back yard. Scourge of the frogs and snakes.

I see them flying thru our woods at least once a week it seems. Hear owls every night just about too. Yet we still have a slew of squirrels everywhere. Go figure.

One thing I enjoy is I have a ton of Red Tailed Hawks around my area.
