BisleyblackhawkMy sister just texted me(I’m in Tennessee and they are in Smyrna GA)…her primary care doc of 40 years visited her in Piedmont Hospital and gave her a thumbs up to go home and do follow ups this week…it’s a blessing that two of my brothers live in the neighborhood as well as my sometimes “overprotective” sister (think…this mayonnaise is three days expired so toss it!…you will die if consumed…she would lose her shit over the “truck cheese” thread from years ago)…so I’m feeling better now about her diagnosis…also I just got off the phone with her and except for a weak scratchy voice, she seems GTG

…thank you my forum brothers and sisters for your prayers…if anything changes I will let y’all know…SigForum totally rocks!

My Mom, at 91, tested positive on Jan 1st, began two doses a day of Paxlovid on Jan 2nd.
Two days later you would not have know she had Covid. Was back to her normal self.
She got over it faster than my wife and I did.
Last year my mother got it at age 85 and I think that's what she was given out of 3 antivirals that were available vs. covid. It was the only one recommended as she is on warfarin. Her O2 dropped a little and she was tired for a week but for having underlying conditions, she did fine.
I'm sure the hospital is on top of things.

Rey HRHI'm glad to hear of the positive outcome. I'll pray for her continued healing.
"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Ideally you would obtain some Ivermectin for her.
I would try to get some Ivermectin. Also, have her Vitamin D levels checked and add some supplements.
I would also tell them to AVOID remdesivir.
Mary is in my prayers.
Prayers sent
Absolutely Ivermectin and no remdesivir!
From what I am hearing you have to push hard against the hospital stating the ivermectin is not their protocol.
I read the complete thread glad there is good news.

ranger312If she is within the 5 day window, I would recommend giving her Paxlovid. Even if she seems to be doing better, I would do it anyway. My sister and I both did (73 and 74 yrs old) and we both got over it quickly.
