His death was confirmed by two individuals familiar with the matter. President Trump responded on Truth Social: “Robert Mueller just died. Good, I’m glad he’s dead. He can no longer hurt innocent people! President DONALD J. TRUMP.” The cause of death has not yet been disclosed. However, sources indicated that Mueller had been battling Parkinson’s disease for several years. Mueller served as FBI Director from 2001 to 2013 and was appointed as Special Counsel by the Justice Department in 2017 to oversee the investigation into alleged Russian interference.
