Too soon old, Too late smart |
One excerpt: Reporting about Pomona College: “Black students condemn ‘truth’ as an invention of white people, want conservatives expelled.” News about Clemson University: “Public university’s ‘diversity training’: Expecting people to show up on time is racist.” A headline about the work of an ungraduated researcher at University of Wisconsin-Madison: “Teachers should allow Ebonics because English grammar is too hard for minorities to learn.” When the history is written about this period, PC will be identified as the destructive force that brought down a great country. "While America Slept" RIP unless we wake up. http://m.washingtontimes.com/n...ntinues-to-run-amok/ _______________________________________ NRA Life Member Member Isaac Walton League I wouldn't let anyone do to me what I've done to myself

And today, this: BERKELEY (CBS SF) — A scheduled appearance by conservative commentator and writer Ann Coulter at the University of California later this month has been canceled because of concerns about safety and security at the event. Word of the cancellation of the April 27th event comes just days after a violent encounter between far-right supporters and far-left protesters at a pro-Donald Trump rally in Berkeley in which multiple people were injured and arrested. "Crom is strong! If I die, I have to go before him, and he will ask me, 'What is the riddle of steel?' If I don't know it, he will cast me out of Valhalla and laugh at me."

That's pretty racist. An entire race is unable to learn what is the international language of business? Ebonics get its start as attempt to get more money. If English was a student's second language the school systems got extra money to help them. Correctly known as African American Vernacular English, getting it labeled as an actual language would have meant big bucks. “ The work of destruction is quick, easy and exhilarating; the work of creation is slow, laborious and dull.

We just had a thread in ebonics. https://sigforum.com/eve/forums...680093224#9680093224 This is a different column on political correctness. Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me. When you had the votes, we did things your way. Now, we have the votes and you will be doing things our way. This lesson in political reality from Lyndon B. Johnson "Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." - Justice Janice Rogers Brown

The Main Thing Is Not To Get Excited |
The first couple or so times I was corrected in public by a SJW I was so bumfuzzled I admit I just clammed up. After I caught on that isn't the case. Sometimes it's unpleasant if they persist but most of their BS is BS and a response that uses the real definition involved, or an approach to context will at least piss them off. My daughter is an RN and does a fair amount of teaching at her hospital. This week she got a memo to all staff that give classes or courses that 'going forward" they must remove any reference to 'bullet points' on visual aids because that does not meet with the hospitals standards of providing a safe environment for all. I shit you not. She and me and her husband got in a conversation to discuss whether the concern was that attendees might be triggered or perhaps it wouldn't even be clear what the targeted points might be. He said to lighten up because the hospital was just trying to aim higher and she said they were just trying to pick-off easy topics. She finished by saying that pretty soon they would have the whole teaching program PC'd, lock stock and barrel. Anyway they won't stop so we might as well mock them into caniptions. _______________________

No double standards |
I am not going to open this thread because it would piss me off too much. I see this kind of mindset on college campus' every day. "Liberty lies in the hearts of men and women. When it dies there, no constitution, no law, no court can save it....While it lies there, it needs no constitution, no law, no court to save it" - Judge Learned Hand, May 1944
