I’m with you and the OP . With “Me”,only a small fraction of my brain space remains for remembering names. It wasn’t much better when my faculties were prime! Names just don’t seem to stick for me long. I’ll remember faces and what we interacted with but names !!

I'm glad to see others here have the same experience-some poster makes a post, I've never heard of him/her, then I see the post count-16,000 or so. I thought it was dementia kicking in-glad it's apparently not.
