Video below by Cooper French. Cooper is an incredible archer and and an even more amazing young man. He's been a friend and mentor to my daughter for quite a few years. I've watched him grow from trying out archery after seeing a Groupon promotion to being the #1 ranked youth archer in the country.

He's going to be putting together a series of tuning and training videos, this is the first. Vegas, the largest indoor tournament in the world is this weekend, and Cooper is getting ready for it!

Very nice sport. Used to be quite a accurate shot myself. Is there some regulation for competitions whereby you shoot aluminum shafts? This is what I shot. With all the carbon fiber arrows and speed bows, its nice to know some are shooting aluminum. Those little pie tins at 50 yards I could shoot quite consistantly with my Martin. I impressed my brother enough that he got involved for hunting.

No, there's not a regulation on carbon vs. aluminum shafts. Indoor archery is shot at 18m/20 yards so speed really isn't as needed as it is in outdoor. Aluminum tends to run straighter than carbon which is why many choose it for indoor.

Damn, that is DEDICATION!!! I love shooting my bow when I can, but he is awesome! Kudos to him, and you can believe that some of that will rub off on her!
