M1GarandyVehicle inspection services, ever use one?
I'm looking at a late model used vehicle online. I'd rather not waste an entire day that I really don't have right now driving to Cedar Rapids and back if I can avoid it.
I have no problem driving out to do a deal, but not without some independent confirmation the vehicle in question is at least in the condition advertised.
I've got a bit of a sour taste in my mouth over one I drove 250 miles (round trip) to see recently that had not been prepped at all and worse yet, the hood could not be opened due to undisclosed damage that happened on the dealers lot.
Has anyone ever paid a vehicle inspection service to inspect a vehicle for them?
If so, how was your experience? Any particular service you would recommend or avoid?
Thanks.

LS1 GTOJust tell the seller your agent will be by to inspect the car and, if as described, will pay.

IMO, you've answered your own question. Yes it's worth the nominal fee.

I don't disagree about that. I'm curious if anyone has good/bad experiences and might have a recommendation of an inspection service to avoid or recommend. I'd burn enough in gas, tolls and time to easily offset what an inspection costs.
