A friend had tickets& invited me to go to to an Atlanta Braves game in Atlanta in the 80's.
He took ignorant/newbie me to the local Hooter's for lunch.

The fish sandwich was tasty, the curly fries were crispy and the beer was icy cold. They had a front corner of the restaurant roped off for a professional photographer to shoot their entire staff, so girls were arriving changing into uniform, getting makeup done by a professional and then into the photo setup. I was Thunderstruck©.

I used up 5 years' quota of restaurant good luck in that one visit.

Several years ago, my wife had business obligations in Tampa, so one of three nights by myself I went to the nearby Hooters. (Another night was at Mission BBQ, which was a superlative find itself. I highly recommend it if you have the opportunity.)

The food was very good, the beer was cold and the pulchritudinous waitresses were friendly and efficient.
The booth I was in was just opposite a doorway into a closed off room with a hanging rope about chest high. The waitresses were amusing themselves by limbo-ing under the rope as they returned from the back to the active room. Another 5 years of restaurant good luck used up in one visit.

Two weeks ago, motorcycled to the BestBuy in Daytona Beach, and had lunch at the Hooter's almost next door.

The Tempura Fried cod sandwich was very good, the fries were crispy and the beer was cold. The waitresses were Top Tier, friendly, courteous and efficient.

I am optimistic for the survival of the franchised Hooter's locations.

I thought they went under years back.

My first visit to Hooters was back in the 90’s when a few of us guys from *I think* medic refresher training lunch break.
The cute waitress came over, got our orders.

My wife and I went to Hooters.
Years ago we planned an extended family vacation on the Outer Banks. My wife and I were driving from Pittsburgh and decided break the trip up and stay in Hampton Roads the night before the rental started.
We got a late start, hit MUCH traffic and enjoyed hours of torrential rain. Very late, we arrived at the Hampton Inn in Hampton Roads. After checking in we both decided that dinner would be someplace we could walk to, no more driving. We went to the desk and the clerk told us the only restaurant within walking distance was a Hooters. I looked at my wife who said she want NOT getting in the car so Hooters it was. Every bit the enjoyable experience one expects. A tired, very pregnant waitress in the Hooters uniform that sat down with us while we ordered. The 4 star food. The only upside was a cold beer. We still laugh about that dinner.

Next morning we noticed a nearby Waffle House so we extended our tour of culinary excellence with breakfast.

My wife and I have been together for 42 years, many trips and vacations. Ranking the best vacation is a challenge, there are several to chose from, ranking our least favorite is a slam dunk. There are many reasons why but starting vacation with a long drive, bad traffic, torrential rain and a romantic dinner at Hooters was a harbinger of the week to come.

I have never eaten a meal at Hooters . Ever . Therefore , unlike most people , I will not post an opinion of their food , service , or decor .

When I was in Beijing a lot we would go to the Hooters in San Litun. Also went to the one on Shanghai Pudong.

The girls were mostly "underqualified" for the job, but they were thin and generally cute and they would do a synchronized dance thing every hour or half hour. Asian girls can do the short shorts thing better than anyone else, though.
