Removed the Romeo 5 from my firearm and placed on a shelf. Remains on even after 10 minutes. Should turnoff in about 2 minutes if no motion detected. Anyone else have this issue?

So, exactly how many minutes motionless before it turned off? 10, 15, 20 minutes, half an hour? Even 30 minutes, does it really matter, considering the battery life of thousands of hours?

I've got 5 of them on various guns and they all turn off automatically after 2 minutes, and the 2 minutes is pretty exact.

It doesn't take much motion to turn these guys on. Does the shelf have any movement whatsoever?

Just because you can,
doesn't mean you should

I guess I'd also want it to perform correctly, but if it's rated for a 20,000 hour battery life, that works out to about 833 days if always on.
On the other hand, if it's rated at 50,000 hours that's 2083 days of always on time.
My sight is a Holosun and the battery that came with it is a no name China brand that stopped working after about 45 days and had slightly swelled. Not confidence inspiring.
With that in mind I'm planning on being conservative and replacing the battery with a quality name brand each year.

I thought the same thing about my Holosun 507K, I was putting it on my dresser. I even sent it back to Holosun and they determined it was ok. It turns out even leaving it on the dresser there was enough movement just from walking across the floor. I tried putting it on a shelf in the basement. No vibration with concrete floor and sure enough it shut off. Just my two cents.

That's why I asked about movement on the shelf. All of my Romeo 5s do this also.
