Only 2,000,000 popular votes separated the two (and a few counties in a few swing states). Not exactly a "mandate" that is so often bandied about. Yes, he won, and thank God for that, but understand that fully half the country is deranged.
Good grief. You can't figure this out??
You don't even know what you're looking at in those numbers, do you?

Disagree. A large portion of D voters are very low information. They watch a bit of NBC news or late night tv "comedy" shows. They listen to NPR in the car. And that is pretty much the extent of their research into what the parties represent and what the candidates really intend to do.
A certain but small portion of the country is, indeed, deranged. TDS is very real. But I believe they are a minority portion of the D voters.
Mandate? Yes, if we look at policies the citizens support. When polls remove political orientation from policy, the results strongly favor Trump's policies over the Democrat party policies.

Many D's I know are largely uninformed, uncurious, and ignorant, for whatever reasons, on specifics. They literally believe what they're told, or just pull the lever otherwise. One very honest question I got from a D, a very good engineer, really drove that observation home, when I purposely did not reply "are you serious" and answered their question as honestly as they asked it without any extra comments. I appreciated the honesty but the nature of the question was incredibly uninformed and seemed to lack basic human common sense. Extend this type if belief system to anything political, and that partially explains how so many people vote for very bad candidates.

ALL of the Ds I know make absolutely no effort to make themselves informed. They vote D because that's what good people do - and it's as simple as that for them.
Of all the enemies the American citizen faces, the Democrat Party is the very worst.

The church of the Left provides governance to the faithful- telling them what they should think (or, rather, what they should believe), how they should behave, and what they should say.
With these guide-rails in place, the system runs automatically. Facts and truth become not just useless, but actual obstructions.

Yeah, I particularly love being told my sources of information are faulty by the CNN and MSNBC educated drones.

I wasn't sure which thread to put this under as it could be New Year's, Biden, or Kackles.
