It’s about 10 years old and has been great. Only one issue since ownership and it has been in two different houses.
The only issue was not the dishwasher fault. A glass broke and a chunk jammed the blades on the pump.
Simple fix, removed the glass and was rolling again.
Not so this time.
So far I have blown out the discharge lines with compressed air and there are no blockages, I removed the pump and there is no debris blocking the blades. Finally I just replaced the pump with the Bosch OEM pump and still not draining.

Is it time to call it a day???

Stupid but doesn't hurt to suggest. In mine, there is a filter in the bottom of the tray. You checked that the filter is clean and not blocked w/ sludge and stuff?

I do a pre-rinse in the sink so this is rarely a problem for me. But if you just put dirty stuff into the dishwasher, then this filter has a tendency to clog.

10-years is a good run for any appliance that involves water movement, sometimes you can run a course of good luck with appliances lasting longer. Bosch is considered top-tier for dishwashers, may just have to call-in a qualified tech, take a look at it and make sure nothing else is screwed up.

Nope. I currently have the filter fully removed from the unit.
I can visually see the pump blades, I remove the pump and it goes directly to the discharge line where I connected my air hose to blow compressed air through.

The discharge hose is of course connected to my WASTE KANG!!!
I have no operational or drainage problems when using the WASTE KANG!!

Don't jinx me. Smile

I've got 22 years on my water heater, 22 years on my fridge, 20 years on my garbage disposal, 20 years on my dishwasher. I had about 25 years on my washing machine.

If the filter is clear, the line is clear, the pump is working and the air gap is clear, how can it not drain? That's weird. I'm curious what you will find the problem to be.

I don’t think the pump is actually working. I don’t think the computer board is activating the pump. That is the only thing I can figure.

Computer board. That is the problem with so many things today and why things are not as reliable as stuff built long ago.

I had a clothes washing machine that kept having problems and the stupid code was so generic. The machine had two computer boards and the problem could have been from either. Cost of a new board was 1/4 of the machine. I replaced one and it fixed it only to have the code return later. Now I have Speed Queens.

I have a Bosch refrigerator and plan to buy a Bosch Dishwasher when my 23 year old one craps out so I am interested in what the problem you are having is. I guarantee my current dishwasher doesn’t have a computer board and that is why it has lasted. Simpler is better, but unfortunately we are stuck with what is available. I hope you get it fixed and keep us posted.

Our Bosch Dishwasher around 15 years old is known to have some computer board issues. It was no activating heat to dry the dishes until I took it apart and checked every connection twice. After that, it now takes 140min but works.

So I disconnected the discharge line from the WASTE KANG, and ran the discharge hose much higher than the dishwasher just to the sink drain.

It drained, I don’t think it created a syphon effect somehow with the hose like that.

So going to run it again once more and if it drains then I am going to hook it back up to the WASTE KANG.

If it does not drain reconnected I guess I will take apart the plumbing and WASTE KANG and see what we find.

Just strange as they sink drains both sides with no issue.

Pissed off as I have been gone on vacation for 3 weeks and have tons of other things I need to do as well.
The dishwasher quit prior to the trip and I ordered the pump figuring I would just pop it in and be rolling. Not jacking with this thing for a few days.

FIXED!!!!!!!
Unfortunately I have no clue how I fixed it. I took everything apart again and cleaned it all out.

I was looking at the old pump and found clear plastic wrapped around the shaft of the propeller on the old pump.

I recently switched from the Finish cubes to the Finish packs because Sam’s switched.
Maybe somehow these things did not fully dissolve and were causing issues and I finally got it to pump out with the new pump and the lines fully open and not connected to the WASTE KANG!

No more of those packets for me back to the tabs.

Our Bosch recently stopped draining but only on the last drain. This would make sense why. Here's hoping you solved my problem too!

It's surprising how often just doing that resolves issues.

I'm switching back to good old fashioned Cascade powder. I keep reading how these pacs and tabs are not good for the machine and end up costing you a lot more, plus with the powder you can place a bit in the pre-wash section and that is supposed to make a big difference too.

I went to the store last night to buy powder. They don't sell it, at least not at the kroger by me. We had to buy the "compressed" powder ones and cut off the "membrane".

For what it's worth, our dishwasher drained at the last cycle but still threw the E07 code. Hoping it clears up.
