PakRatJRAnyone know anything about Cub Cadet lawn tractors? GTX2100
My mom messaged me couple weeks ago. She bought a used mower with a snow blower attachment, got a damn good price on it as well..... not the price listed by the way
This one here
https://www.facebook.com/marke...tem/381814564004278/I'm trying to find all the info for it that I can find for her.... and me as well really lol.... specifically related to the deck and thrower really, so I can show her how to use it and swap stuff.
So far I found the user manual on line, which is good, but it doesn't show anything on the deck removal/install. I also can't seem to find anything at all on the thrower attachment.
I only had a couple minutes to look at it in person last weekend and it don't look like it would be all to hard to figure out swapping stuff but I would still be a lot happier if I had manuals or at least a cood video so I know for sure what is what instead of just tearing into it and hoping I got it right

sourdough44I have a 15 y/o 2518 Cub Cadet, still going strong. I’ve never dealt with a snowblower attachment, but I do take the mower deck off each Fall.
I’d stop by a dealer & ask any questions. If I buy something like that used I check/change all the fluids and filters. I like sharp blades too. I normally change belts when they look bad, before they break.

PakRatJRThanks, nice to know they should hold up

I will be checking all the fluids next chance I get to head over there.

PykerThe blower is the same unit I have, the deck is looks to be similar.
As far as the blower, it has a sub drive under the mower that needs to come off before the deck can go on. Just take it a step at a time, and photo each piece in place before you remove it or you'll not remember where it went when next winter comes around. Make sure you take the blower off pretty near to where you intend to store it, those things are
heavy!. It's much easier to drive it there on the mower than manhandle it after its off.
The deck install is pretty straightforward, raise the height lever all the way up, slide the deck under from the left side, hook the front up, then lower the height lever all the way down. Jiggle the brackets about until they are within the height lever's lifting mechanism then snap the links into place. You may have to shift the deck around a little bit until they snap into place.
The PTO belts are different lengths for the blower and the deck, so make sure you have the right ones installed.
I can take a few pics of my deck in place if it would help. Let me know.
It's easier to do, than to explain.
I have the blower manual as a PDF if you would like a copy. You can probably find the deck manual at cubcadet.com if you have the model #, if not I may be able to scan my copy or at least get you the part#

PykerHere's the search page for the manual for my 50" deck. They don't differ much if at all.
https://www.cubcadet.com/en_US/operatorsmanualsUse these as the search terms:
Model Number: 19b40013100
Serial Number: 11304h00023

PakRatJRPyker thank you. The model and SN are most appreciated.

If it's not too much, I would like a copy of the blower manual. The little bit I looked at it last weekend it didn't seem too bad but I probably wouldn't have known there was more to pull off than just the belt and blower lol
My email is in my profile.
Thanks

PatriotI have a GTX2100…since 2014.
It’s been a great tractor…still going strong.
I replaced one spindle on my deck…parts are easily found in several on line places.
Ask away with questions…

Need anything else, let me know.
(You can see the sub-drive I mentioned just behind the front wheels in your first picture. It has a pin at the front and hooks to the frame at the rear. Take out the pin and lower the front which will allow you to unhook it - after you've removed the tension from the auger belt by moving the spring-loaded handle in between the tractor and the auger housing)

PakRatJRPatriot, somehow I missed your reply. Thanks for the offer
Just a little update.
Finally got back to moms yesterday. Gave it a quick look over and got it out of the garage for her and gave her a "crash course" on everything.
Took her a whole three minutes verifying what was what before she was running around the driveway easy peasy and happy
Her first time running something like that and was surprise at how easy it actually was.
For now she doesn't have the plan to swap out the snow thrower. Her yard isn't really big enough to make full use of the deck and she still likes using the push mower, so I didn't bother messing with pulling the thrower off to get a better look at all of it.
So basically right now all is good and she is still happy she decided to buy it.

BlackmoreA 3/8" breaker bar with 3" extension makes putting the mower deck drive belt on the drive sheave a lot easier.
