I went with Bitwarden/free. If I wanna get fancier, the 1st pay tier is $10/yr. Just set it up and will muck with filling it in tomorrow.
Re: “I miss/forget renewing a lot of annual shit.”
The $14.99 annual fee for mSecure is an Apple subscription which renews automatically unless I cancel the subscription. It’s easy to see and control my subscriptions in iPhone “Settings”. I assume that there’s a similar feature for Android.
I have the mSecure app for my iPhone and my MacBook, but 90% of the time I’m using my iPhone. FaceID is flat out handy.

83v45magnaI realize you are earnestly trying to be helpful so please don't misunderstand when I say I don't use 'auto' with ANY sort of billing. With respect to businesses, my policy is trust no one.
BTDT.
I don't use a PW mgr for everything. Actual important things get the text file Para referred to. I've been doing that for at least 20 years.

Yes, I have a "password manager". It's called a "text file"
It came with the operating system of my laptop and it's stored on a bitlocked external drive.
I thought I was there only one that uses text files to store my passwords locally. I am glad to see I am not the only "Old School" guy. I do the same for work on my laptop.

parabellumI've got my passwords on an encrypted external drive, with two backups, and the password to get into these drives is written down/recorded
nowhere.
Cloud storage of passwords is- to me- madness. You're just askin' for it.

They are encrypted when they leave your machine. Yes, the encrypted information is in the cloud with end-to-end encryption so it can't be read even if it is stolen.

V-TailWhatever happened to the good old-fashioned approach? Write the password on a Post-It and stick it on the edge of the monitor. For better security, put the Post-It under the keyboard.
