It was never really about impeaching the President, it was about impugning the President right up to the election. No proof is needed to do that with the Democrats.

Actually they've all been fishing for three years now, so their vacation began when President Trump was elected.

The reason, as we are all aware, that to initiate actual impeachment proceedings is to fail to not only complete it successfully, but to show they have no grounds in the first place. Repeating that Trump is due to be impeached without ever doing a thing reinforces the concept that he CAN be impeached in gullible leftist minds.

I suspect they want to wait until closer to the election when it may potentially cause the most harm to our president. Perhaps they want to impeach him while he’s on the campaign trail, limiting his ability to actually campaign for reelection.

They know they have no case and that this is all a charade. But if they can somehow manufacture an image of wrongdoing it may sway enough votes.

They have a 20-clown circus that they have to somehow reduce to a presidential front-runner. Given the natural confusion generated by a sprawling clown show, they really don't want any more distractions.

Besides, after the border funding debacle, Nancy's got some booze to drink and some arms to twist, and she really doesn't want to get distracted by any of that impeachment nonsense.

They don't want to actually impeach because he can't be convicted.

It would be pretty hard, nay...IMPOSSIBLE...to impeach President Trump solely on the grounds that you don't like him or his politics. They should just gather their toys and go home, like the petulant children they are.
