Been out of the game for a bit up there. Need to get a gun shipped up there.
Or just take it there myself.

I always use Target World. 25 bucks no issues. 2 transfers in the past month.

https://www.targetworld.info/firearms-transfers

Whoever you're sending it to needs to fill out their inbound firearm transfer sheet and email it to them.

A little confused, here. Wouldn't the buyer/receiver be the one that decides which FFL is best for him?

Target World lost my business 20 years ago.

Usually would be the case. My brother is the buyer/receiver and a little late to the party.
So in this instance want to know who is best to deal with on transfers. Some folks are crappy about doing transfers.

I always used Loveland Shooter's Supply, assuming they're still in business (been gone from Cincy for over a decade now).

That or I used a forum member with an FFL, Cruiser133, up in C'bus. Haven't seen him on the forum in ages, though.

Black,

I have used:
http://westchesterfirearms.com...rearms_Transfers.pdf

Three transfers in the past 18 months. Some people complain about the Owner, I have never had a problem with them, they are 10 minutes from my office in Sharonville and they are the least expensive you will find.

It is a small operation, not some fancy, we have everything gun shop. Honest people running a small business.

BTW, I am less than a mile from Target World.

Perfect!!!
How long have they been there? That’s just a couple minutes from where I used to live.

I kinda suspect this was the case. Someone you know that doesn't know much about the process.

I do not know how long they have been there, I was in a panic a year and a half ago and I believe they were listed on GB as a Dealer in the area that handled transfers. I took my GB paperwork to them and they handled the rest. You fill out your 4473 on an Ipad. All three transfers took less than 5 minutes.

They have a small, very small showroom attached to a garage, I believe it is another business they own.

I went there two weeks ago looking at something. They seemed alright, other than improperly telling me if the pistol I was going in to buy had night sights or not(it didn't and I wasted an hour of driving).

If you use them, tell the person going to them to turn into the garage lot or the little gravel lot after it. They have zero signs visible from the road.

I use American Outpost Armory in Amelia. $15 transfer fees. But may be out of the way for your needs.

Well crapity crap! West Chester firearms is not open on Saturdays.
Amelia’s $15 transfer is a very nice price but sadly way the other direction from where I will be.
If Target World only charged a penny I still would not do a transfer there.
I forgot about 22three up in Lebanon. The owner was my professor back in college and I have not been to their new digs.
Website says they charge $35 for transfers on guns shipped there.
But no mention of walking in transfers so guess I will give them a buzz tomorrow.

I usually don’t get as north as Lebanon so I have not been to the new place. I went to their little shop on Main Street shortly after opening.

Well, that was interesting. Gifting the gun to my brother there but I live in another state but would be visiting. So figure just do the transfer in person.
Called the other day to confirm that they would do it and was told they would and pretty sure it was by one of the owners.

Get there are the fella at the counter was rather confused and said they would not be able to do something like that because they can’t do a background check on people from out of state.
I did not ask about them selling long guns to folks in bordering states, but in this instance I am not getting the background check my brother who lives in the state does.

I let him know I had already talked with someone on the phone and was assured they would be able to do it. That is was a simple transfer.
You enter it into your log book, my bro does the 4473, and you log it out, we $35 and be on our merry way.

He goes to talk to someone else. He takes us over to a little side room and says that since we are brothers there is nothing that would keep me from gifting a gun to my brother and the transfer was not needed and no real reason to spend the $35.
Though the other guy at the counter would be able to do the transfer if we still wanted.

$35 not to be a Federal Felon, yup we’ll do the paperwork thanks.
