Normally I'd say much ado about nothing, guy just forgot to take his mags out of his bag after going to the range, but since he's a NY Democrat I hope they throw the book at him. He's a direct participant in the party that created all those ridiculous restrictions...let him live with them.

This is what people need to keep in the forefront of their arguments. This guy undoubtedly would have told any NY resident that was “caught” in the same scenario that this is the law and you must reap the whirlwind. Yes, it is absurd that states can limit a law abiding citizen’s 2nd amendment rights and we all strongly disagree with it but he knew the rules and obviously felt he was above them enough to have the mags in the first place while employed by the party that forced the same restrictions on those same citizens.

I have a novel idea- remove all such ridiculous restrictions and aggressively prosecute criminals committing actual criminal acts. A stretch in blue states/cities I know but imagine if felons nationally feared being caught and incarcerated for crimes! Crazy, right?

This can't be anything but one of the stupidest mistakes possible. There is no way he deliberately tried to get those mags into the congressional office building. He'll have to take the consequences, but what a maroon.
