And, as he said, half the House isn’t even there to hear him.

I've been impressed with Rep. Roy for a couple years now, and he first caught my eye with one of his intelligent and knowledgeable congressional speeches calling out the ignorance and hypocrisy of Democrat gun grabbers during proposed gun legislation.

One of the many reasons I'm opposed to Congress debating any important legislation, let alone a budget bill, without a quorum physically present, and right before the Christmas congressional break.

They are so accustomed to tacking on pork in December, slamming through in absentia votes, and then racing home to their districts, that I doubt they even realize they are once again breaking House rules while doing so.

I watch a lot of news, flipping back and forth between FNC and Newsmax (to avoid Lindell commercials), and, sadly, this got almost zero coverage on either channel. This kind of stuff should be LEADING the news cycle.

Roy has been solid, just need to get rid of RINO John Cornyn as U.S Senator for Texas. He's a disgrace.

The demorrhoids won't care until they are being carried out in shackles for receiving FTX stolen money.

I won't care until the republicans actually do it.

Until then he's just pissing into the wind.

You're right about both. After Sen. Cornyn voted to pass that egregious spending bill I sent him an e-mail excoriating him and promising that he had lost my vote forever.

I did the same, flashguy. I have no use for Cornyn.

I agree. It's one of my pet peeves. I do agree with the sentiment, however, even though poorly expressed.

Millions of dollars in anti-2A spending in the $1.7 trillion dollar budget, that nobody could possibly read, and 18 Republican senators voted for it.

Here they are, and what they approved:

Yeah... Bravo to Congressman Roy.
BUT there should be a majority opposed to this.
It shouldn't have even been voted on until the new Congress is seated in January.
Our government has failed us.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."
