You really know how to hurt a guy! Woke up to minus 2 and now at 1:30 it is but 7 degrees out. My sled (S2000) is stored for the winter. Frown

Here I thought it was going to be the Mid 1970's .... time to drive:

Can't beat the '76 Eldorado!

But the Ferrari.... with the temp in the mid 70's... OK..., you win!

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

Regardless, I am envious.

usually top down early to mid morning and late afternoon evenings

I have skin cancer so driving around mid-day isn't my best choice

I think it is ironic that this thread follows the one about envy being evil.

It is often disbelieved by those who hear the story, but one of these

(in blue) saved my life when I was hit from the rear by a lunatic doing 80 mph (my car was sitting at a stop light).

I thought you meant mid 1970's, so I was expecting a nice Charger or Duster or maybe a Stang. That little red thing is nice too, though.

There's so much residual salt on the roads here it's going to take several heavy rains before I get any toys out.

Drove up as far as Windy Point which is about mile marker 13 and at about 7000 feet.

Today is just a reminder of why I moved here - the summers are oppressive but I am very fortunate to have an inside job and don't have to be outside when its 115.

in this one you can see a portion of the road - it is about 3 road miles from the view point and about 1000 feet lower

I planned to get one of my toys out today for a drive, as the weather is beautiful here. An old friend stopped by, and we had a good long visit......nothing wrong with that!! Next Sunday will likely be the next target date for a drive.

Mt. Lemon? The worst part of that drive is right above windy point where the road goes along a ridge and it drops off on both sides. I hate heights...but the views are awesome up there. We got 5" of snow today...I'm envious!

My Honda and other fun vehicles only have two wheels and are in the garage until they quit brining the roads.

Honda's S2000 is about as close as you can get, with a car, to riding a motorcycle! Wonderful cars.

No car is as much fun to drive, as any motorcycle is to ride.
