Most sundays, I enjoy dinner at moms house. Today being Mothers Day, it was time to take her out and have someone else cook. Her choice? Asian, but I had to choose the restaurant. So we went to a Vietnamese place I've heard about. Dear Lord, how have I missed out on beef pho and pork banh mi?!

On the music side, I've been into country for a while. Opinions vary on the timeline, but it sure has gone into full suck mode. No question. I can't take it anymore. Going down the rabbit hole, I discover a band that's been around for about twelve years. Black Stone Cherry. Heard of them, but never listened. Super heavy, bluesy rock. They're now without question my favorite band/artist.

Pretty sure I need to start learning Vietnamese, and stock up on earplugs! Any of y'all ever found something so obvious, but never knew how awesome it was until it hit you?
