Our 18 month old General Electric Microwave went out for the third time. Micro switch and fuse. Never again GE............. I t is NOT a countertop model it is mounted above the oven. What does my Sigforum family recommend? Is Appliance Brad around any longer?

I'll be following. Will likely be looking in the near future. Would really like to find one that doesn't sound like slamming a door. It's like they go out of their way to make them loud to open and close. My wife takes that as a challenge.

To bad it has to be an under cabinet microwave. I was going to suggest the AmazonBasics Alexa-enabled microwave so you could tell it how long to nuke your popcorn for. Unfortunately, that is a counter top model.

The condo I recently bought has a small kitchen and just had a range hood installed. Not wanting to take up valuable counter space, I found the Whirlpool WML75011HW. Comes in white, black and stainless. Anywho... it's clearly not a full size unit by traditional means, but takes up much less space. Everyone that comes over asks about it/compliments it due to it not being a full size monster hanging over the range.

You have to be an employee, retiree, have a guest email/group code to sign up. “Nipigon4” didn’t work.

My 19 yo GE microwave recently expired. I replaced it with another GE, because it was the only decent microwave I could find that would fit onto my 12” deep shelf.

If I hadn’t been space constrained I would’ve bought a Panasonic with “Inverter technology”, which provides true variable power. Most other microwaves achieve variable power by varying the on/off duty cycle. True variable power is a big advantage.

I just got one a few months back. So far, I like it. It must have been an opened return at Home Depot because I got it for damn near half price if not less. It was in an open box in the appliance section with a brightly colored markdown sticker.

I would like to publicly apologize for allowing some information that might not have been appropriate to be released concerning the kind of sharing from Brad. Brad, I am once again sorry. Thank you for all you do.
