Advice for home generator
I wanted a 2500 watt Inverter Generator so I spent the money and bought a Generac . It's a piece of garbage . If it caught fire and burned to the ground I wouldn't give a damn. Absolute junk.

marksman41,

I watched this video a week or so ago on the Predator you are interested in. . .

. . .and while it’s not a long-term test / review of it, it is fairly informative as well as some of the comments.

While it does have some nice features and is attractive from a ‘value / performance’ perspective, the 90-day warranty made it a no-go for me.

That is true. Everything is booked within 600 miles. We have relatives well out of the zone. We spent considerable time in Tennessee with relatives after Katrina. My wonderful brother contacted me and said he had aerial photographs of the damage to my house. He is a firefighter and has access to that stuff.

Once I retire I could go to misery (Missouri) and stay with my daughter during storms. Couldn’t do that now since I need to be at work. Glad it works for you, a generator is a big chunk of money but I am still glad I paid for one.
