I'm not in the market for a new car, but I'm curious... Are there any compact SUVs (like Honda CRV/Toyota Rav 4 sized) in the US that are diesel and with a manual transmission? What about those with AWD? Not hard to find in Europe, but sounds like hen's teeth in the US. Is there anything? After the whole diesel emissions fiasco, VW announced they would no longer market diesel vehicles in the United States. However, it seems that they have plans to reverse that decision in the near future. The buyers sold back 2015 VW Diesel powered vehicles are now being sold again by VW. There were 6 sp manual transmission Jetta TDI station wagons. OP might want to look for one. ********* "Some people are alive today because it's against the law to kill them". | |||

you can get two of those three only. diesel manual- Chevy Cruze Diesel SUV- Mazda CX5 eventually or plenty of euro suvs. Manual SUV- Subaru Crosstrek | |||

Everything I've read has said it will be paired with auto transmissions only. Knowing what one is talking about is widely admired but not strictly required here. I think the soon to be released diesel CX5 may be one of the few available, but will be automatic only, to my knowledge. Probably a good bit cheaper than a diesel Wrangler as well, I'd imagine. The Enemy's gate is down. | |||

The GMC Terrain/Chevy Equinox twins can be had with diesel and AWD but not with a manual. | |||
