Shhhhh… don’t tell everyone! We go at least once a year and stay down the road in Atlantic Beach/Enerald isle area The other Beaufort in SC is pretty cool too, we stayed there when picking our son up at Parris Island If you go again, cross the bridge to Atlantic Beach and try Amos Mosquitos restaraunt Some weeks we never see another vehicle with WV license plates, lol, trying to keep it that way! Spent some time there. A great place to visit. We stayed at Indian Beach this year. I was amazed at the lack of traffic compared to the OBX to the North. Also the OBX rental prices have really gone up. JEREMIAH 33:3

Awesome photos and travelogue. Yes, wonderful part of the world, but my descriptions wouldn’t have done it justice. Thanks for posting.

Yep! I REALLY need to get my scuba license. The aquarium at Pine Knoll has a replica of U-352 that is really neat. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The price of liberty and even of common humanity is eternal vigilance

The Great Santini is set in Beaufort (that's Byoofert) South Carolina. The book is set in the fictional town of Ravenal. I'm gonna vote for the funniest frog with the loudest croak on the highest log.

Thanks for the correction...OP is referring to Beaufort, NORTH Carolina, vs South Carolina as in the book/movie

Stickman, you could be right. It was years ago and I think its name was McGhee's pier or something like that. Thanks for the reply and info. "Even if the world were perfect it wouldn't be." ... Yogi Berra
