Seriously, tough crowd. A few left turns instead of right when I was around this age and i'd be long gone.

Yep. I've done enough dumb shit to kill myself many times over.

Same here in my youth. Praying for his family this morning.

I should be dead many times over for the dumb stuff I did. This kid thought he was immortal and made a bad decision that cost him his life - my heart goes out the families.

How did they know that - Maybe it was suicide.

This guy jumped and survived

Situation awareness is defined as a continuous extraction of environmental information, integration of this information with previous knowledge to form a coherent mental picture in directing further perception and anticipating future events. Simply put, situational awareness mean knowing what is going on around you.

How sad for the family Frown

I look back at my life, sometimes, at some of the stupid stuff I did--much of it well past my teens, and count myself lucky they didn't go wrong.

His adventure, unfortunately for him and those who loved him, went wrong Frown

I saw that. The dumb shit has video to prove it too. When I was in Navy boot camp, they told us how to jump from a sinking ship. They also told us what could happen to our butt if we hit the water at a certain velocity. Bad, bad anemia. It didn't sound like fun then and doesn't sound like fun now.

I'm sorry if I hurt you feelings when I called you stupid - I thought you already knew - Unknown

Yes, and no. That does not make me less sympathetic to the feelings of his family.

This was me. I should be dead in multiples.

I take it the same way as you. I am lucky to be alive from the stupid things I did as a teen/young adult. I feel for the family.

I don't think there are many 16 year old boys who have never done at least a few stupid things. Most of us are lucky to have survived. This kid didn't. Laughing about it just floors me....
