I had to turn away a group of Marmites at my front door.
Had to explain I wasn’t interested in their cult.

That’s no BS right there. I had to boil a jar open after spilling a tiny bit on the threads once.

Marmite has a half life greater than radioactive elements.

I've never heard of it either, but, if it's that important to you...I got your six.

I’m going with the “new Coke” ploy.

Yep folks were going to discontinue Marmite. The small crowd goes wild, putting up a lifetime supply. All the while a new curious crowd starts investigating why the uproar. They buy a bit, try a bit, vomit or become lifelong addicts.

A bit of genius I say.

I thought Marmite was plural for Marmot.

I looked it up--it sounds disgusting. That the Brits eat it is not surprising. Smile

As do the Australians, Swiss, and Germans. Based on your replies to other food threads, I can’t imagine you’d like it at all, but don’t laugh too hard. Wink

Then again, I could eat a liverwurst, onion and Limburger sandwich on marble rye spread with Marmite and horseradish and be on cloud nine. Some people like mild, unseasoned foods and some people like foods that grab you by the face and have their way with your senses.

I'm sure you are correct in your assessment of my probable reaction to Marmite. However, I don't only eat bland food, I'm just picky about what kind of excitement it offers. I sprinkle cayenne pepper on my beans, use Taco Bell's "Fire" sauce on my tacos (with no cheese, of course), and like a little spice in my Chinese food and chili. Big Grin
