It’s been a pretty long time since I added anything significant to my gun collection. I’ve wanted one of these for a long time. While buying mags and 308 from PSA I decided to scoop one up.

Now I just need the world to get normal again so I can zero it in. Can anyone recommend a good rifle range near Greensboro / Winston Salem NC?

If I wasn't keeping both kids you would be more than welcome to sight in here at my modest range. If something changes I will let you know Big Grin

Odd in what way, and why at “this point”?

David W. You make it through that storm last night ok? Our power got knocked out around 2am which set off our fire alarms for some reason.

Duke energy was on point! I received a text just before 4 am informing us that a fallen tree was the cause and that power had been restored. We got lucky, no trees down or anything but somehow it seems to have fried my overhead fan/light or the switch to turn it on. Confused

I slept through it! My wife packed the diaper bag to the brim with food, water etc. and she took the kids to our safe area/room and left me sleeping Big Grin She slept about an hour last night, she gets super nervous about the possibilities of a tornado.

According to her we didn't lose power last night but we lost it around 11pm-1pm during lunch/nap time.

Wow! I can’t believe you slept through that. The wind woke me at one point then the dang fire alarms. Big Grin All that rain completely swamped and almost sank my paddle boat. I spent most of the next day trying to get it out of the lake....it’s still not completely out.

I’m really hoping to buy some land where I can shoot rifles in the next year or so. I want to be close to Winston and have been considering Davie & Davidson county. Something country but not too far away.

My dream is to set up a nice indoor/outdoor range not too far away from Winston Salem. I think something like that might do pretty well out here. About a decade ago I used to shoot at an indoor range in Norfolk VA every single Monday. I really want to get back into shooting regularly.

We live in northern Davidson county, right now we are living in my grandmother's house on about 20 acres. I think a range around here would be great for folks who don't have a place to shoot and I have thought about it more than once.
