If you see me running try to keep up |
Your first example is two different things, most places I know it would be against the law to urinate out in the open on a city sidewalk. No place I have been to forbids it, I think it is pretty much assumed since there are not restrooms in the wilderness people will need to go there. For your second example, neither one is sin. the Bible forbids drunkenness not drinking so neither situation would be sin if they were not drunk. An alcoholic could have a drink and not be drunken, they could probably have a few and not be drunken.

Thank you, sns3guppy. Are there any other references to sanction extra-marital intercourse, other than that God seemed to tolerate concubines?

kkina, I've nothing against anyone here just not a desire to engage in bible ping-pong (which these topics sometime devolve to) but there are probably folks who'd use Judah impregnating his daughter-in-law as one example though I certainly don't think it supports extra-marital intercourse. <>< America, Land of the Free - because of the Brave

Agreed, I don't want a ping-pong thing to start either, it's just I've never heard this viewpoint before and was curious. Just trying to keep an open mind.

I'm not sure how the story of Judah and Tamar can be seen as anything other than sinful. It doesn't speak about polygamy at all though, Judah's wife had died. At any rate, Jesus quoting Genesis in Matthew 19 is clear, when you look at the context.
