I’ve taken a leave of absence from work to care for my mother. Long story short, spent last Thursday waiting for a phone call from the surgeon (aortic aneurysm right above the heart) to find out if I was planning a funeral or a rehab. Luckily she’s an ornery old coot and should get released tomorrow. Doing fantastically well and a full recovery is expected, but she lives alone and I’ll be keeping her in check for a bit.

She lives in the scrub, Ocala National Forest, close to Paisley, and I’ll be going stir crazy in a week or two. I know V Tail and a few others are pretty local. Figure I may be looking for some socializing before the end of this gig. Longest break I’ve ever had from work in my entire working life.

If anyone in the area wants a beer and some wings (or to show me some airplanes ) in the next couple of weeks drop me a line. Will depend on her dependencey, but she’ll probably be ready to chase me off in a few days anyway lol

ArtieS, HRK and Big Deal are in the Orlando area as well. If I weren't stuck here, I'd be there and met up with you.
