We just got this van and love it. It has the homelink and I feel like I have done everything to get it to work with the garage door opener. I have called homelink and spoke with them. I do everything they and directions tell me. I took the LED bulbs out in case of interference. I hit the learn button and hit the homelink three times counting to three. I have gotten the lights to blink (or make the click sounds) but it still will not operate that door. Any advice or suggestions will be greatly appreciated!!

Had the same issue with my wifes van. You need to hit a reset/learn button up on the garage motor itself, then go back and hold the homelink button to sync with the garage door. See this video: https://youtu.be/d2joQ86YN5M "I won't be wronged, I won't be insulted, and I won't be laid a hand on. I have done that, too. Still, no go. Thank you, though.

How many devices such as remotes, keypads, etc. are already linked to the opener? Ours has a limit, five if memory serves. הרחפת שלי מלאה בצלופחים

Have you reset the homelink in the van itself? "It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Reset everything and start from scratch. I just went through this. I’d forgotten that my cars needed an already functioning remote to learn from or copy or whatever it’s called. I also have 6 remotes (3 cars, two remotes, and the keypad outside) which is the limit of my opener, so we do them all over if we need to replace or relearn one.

Some garage door openers flat do not work with the built-in door switches like Homelink, at least not without purchasingan additional decoder of some sort. My Ford truck came with something like Homelink built into the driver’s visor—and brand new home. Never could get the two, truck and garage door opener, to work together, and I decided not to buy whatever it is that I needed to make it work. I have the opener device clipped to my viser—right over the built-in device. _______________________________________________________ despite them

I have reset the homelink. The lock is not on, on my opener. I’m trying to avoid starting from scratch.

I literally just went through this yesterday with 2 vehicles. Here was my process that worked for 2 garage door openers and 2 vehicles. Reset the codes.(probably not necessary but i was so mad I didn't take any chances.) Press the button on your handheld remote that operates the door and hold it, and hold it close to the car remote. Just after pressing the handheld remote, press and hold the door button you want to program until it blinks/chirps/acknowledges your remote. This syncs the car to the correct code. Now you need to sync the car with correct code to the opener. Hit the learn button on the opener and then go to car remote and hit the programed button and hold for 2 sec. Release, then hit and hold for 2 secs again. This should cause the door to operate, if it does not hit the button a third time and hold for 2 secs. I had one car that worked after 2 button presses and one that took 3 presses. I used this on a 2008 subaru that I just bought, as well as a 2010 dodge that I could never program from 6 years ago. The written directions are very confusing in the manual. Program car to remote. Then car to opener. _____________________________________ "We must not allow a mine shaft gap."

Our 2012 Highlander Homelink just will not connect to our garage door. It linked just fine at our old house. We moved and it would not connect to the brand new unit at the new house. I have reset the opener, I have rest ECMs in the Highlander, pulled fuses, replaced batteries it flat won’t do it. Bought 2 vehicles since the Highlander and they connected lickity split another even being a Toyota. To this day I still can’t get it to connect. ———————————————— The world's not perfect, but it's not that bad. If we got each other, and that's all we have. Its gonna suck.... but reset everything. Had to do that with the most recent car purchases. It has to do with the device limit. We've got 2 cars, outside key pad, 3 remotes. Start with the cars first and then remotes. Andrew Duty is the sublimest word in the English Language - Gen Robert E Lee.

Installed new Liftmaster and ended up having to get a decoder for each of my vehicles. It would not work with Homelink on our 01 Monte Carlo or 09 Tahoe. God,Guns,Cars,& 1Wife, I would say I have it all.

How old is the garage door opener? If it’s a pre ‘95 it’s not going to work with post ‘95 openers. I just replaced my old (pre ‘95) opener and got a new Liftmaster. ———- Do not meddle in the affairs of wizards, for thou art crunchy and taste good with catsup.

The opener is from 2012. It’s a belt drive , battery back up Craftsman. I guess I have no choice but to clear everything. I have a purple learn button. Just above is a black button but I’m not sure what it is for. I don’t see it in my manual.

We built a house 1.5 years ago and neither of our daily drivers, 2011 Lexus RX350 and 2012 Toyota Venza, will link to our openers. Openers are lift master jack shafts. Tried resetting back to the beginning and still nothing.

Here is Raynor's instructions: How do I program my vehicle's HomeLink® system with my Raynor Garage Door opener? FWIW: My 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee's instructions match Raynor's exactly. (N.B.: The very first step on the Raynor link is to reset all the vehicle's HomeLink® settings.) Our garage isn't much used for the cars, these days, so I never bothered. But, for curiosity's sake I just gave it a go. Worked just like the instructions said it would. Notes: 1. The Jeep's instructions were very clear: The vehicle has to be in Run for training/learning to work. I assume, by that, that ACC will not do. 2. It took about thirty seconds for step 3 in the Raynor instructions, training the Jeep's HomeLink® system from an existing remote, to take. 3. On the opener it says "Hold the new remote's button down until the garage door light flashes." I couldn't see it, so I held the HomeLink® button down "a good long while." After 3-4 seconds the garage door closed. I pressed the button again and it opened. 4. In operation, it seems I have to hold the HomeLink® button down for a second or so, whereas, with the remote that came with the opener I just briefly press it. "America is at that awkward stage. I am watching this thread for more suggestions. I have spent an hour yesterday trying to program my HomeLink from our Craftsman garage opener (2014 built) to my 2005 GM SUV. I trying the "hopping rolling code" technique and pressing the learn button from my opener. Didn't work. On the other hand, my stepdaughter was able to program her 2017 Subaru Outback's HomeLink with just pressing the already programmed clicker and her HomeLink button at the same time. _______________________ P228 - West German

I tried using the Homelink w both my 2006 Pilot and my 2012 Pilot and could never get it working. I finally gave up after trying everything, to include calling Homelink customer service. My garage door opener is a 2014 model Liftmaster and it just will not work w Homelink for me. I've since gotten a Chamberlin My Q and love it so the Homelink not working is now a moot point.

I have Homelink on my 4Runner and a craftsman garage door. I simply held up my current working remote a couple of inches from the Homelink spot in my car, pushed the buttons, and got it set up in seconds. I didn’t have to do any learn buttons on my craftsman or anything. If you tried it several times, you might want to reset the homelink and start over.

Thank you, everyone! I finally got it tonight. Funny, my good friend was the manager of a very successful garage door company in our city. He came over this weekend and we just could not get it. (Mind you, he's been out of the business for well over a decade. He works with me now. I trained him and now we're the same rank. Proud of him!) Anyway, I went out tonight to look at everything because the remote in my squad car quit working. Then, the one in my 4runner quit working. So, I held the learn button down and reset the codes. I was worried the reset didn't work because afterward I would hit the button on a remote and the learn button light would flash as if it was getting a signal. I started programming remotes and decided to try the homelink one more time. I did the link to the remote and then that learn button on the opener and IT WORKED!!! I had called craftsman to ask a couple of questions before doing this. The first person sent me to a technician but after learning my opener wasn't under warranty they transferred me to someone foreign and wanted to send out a technician. I called back and tried to just ask for help but same thing. I guess that explains part of the reason the Sears here and several other places has closed down. (One told me that was against policy to give me technical advice over the phone. I corrected her and told her that she COULD but only if it was under warranty to which she agreed.) I get it, somewhat, but the customer service was non-existent. I explained that my FIL had given us the opener in 2012 but it didn't matter. Anyway, thank you, again for all of your time and suggestions. Just wanted share!
