"Learn to code"

Have you heard this recently and have you seen the odd reaction of the left to it?

Watch this video and you'll understand (short version: the snarky remark of some "journalist" about laid off working Americans is being thrown back at "journalists" who are now themselves being laid off)

There's more to it than that, though. Watch the video to see the hypocrisy and whining attitude of "Oh, it's different because I am now the one being laid off."
They're incredibly myopic, whining little children, who bully others and then cry foul when their own words (and attitudes) are thrown back at them after they (rightfully and deservedly) lose their shit jobs.

This is the first thing that came to mind when I saw the meme. The left took pride in telling people they need to find jobs in the "green economy". Those manufacturing jobs, "are not coming back." They need to find new skills.

Poor babies their job has became irrelevant and they got all but hurt. Just like the green movement took the minners jobs, they learned new skills. Now the shoe is on the other foot and the internet along with decentralized media is taking their jobs. How is it different?

I think it's hilariously ironic that these people don't like it so much when it's them being told to "eat cake". I was a drywaller from my teens into my mid thirties and went back to school and got a CS degree. I "learned to code" but it was not easy, it was quite difficult for me actually. The assumption that anyone can just do a 180 and change gears like that is ridiculous.

American software engineers can't get jobs, especially over age 35. Tech companies lie that they can't get Americans, they get foreigners on H-1B visas who are essentially indentured servants.

You don't have to like or even understand the guy. You just need to know that he's giving leftists absolute shit fits. In a normal, sane world, he'd be just another gamer on youtube with a couple of thousand subs, but in the insane world we live in, PewdiePie is a focal point of the battle.

That is entirely beside the point. The remark was made by "journalists", referring to laid off coal miners. It is now being thrown in their faces since they, too, have lost their jobs. This has nothing to do with coding and everything to do with disgusting hypocrites getting their due and a big taste of their own bitter medicine.

When you can't possibly fathom that you're wrong, you are in trouble. When you surround yourself with "yes-men" and only those who agree with you, you are in trouble.

That's what the media and the far left are doing. As a result, they've convinced themselves that their fringe ideas are actually mainstream. But, if they're wrong and their ideas aren't mainstream, they wake up one day and realize they have no audience except the small group of like minded people they've been surrounding themselves with.

I think the Dems see this coming in their party and are trying to figure out what to do about it. You already hear some more moderate Dems pushing back on medicare for all and "no wall." People who aren't in the bubble with them think they're nuts and are wandering away. Killing a baby right before it's born and calling it woman's rights or healthcare? These people don't realize how insane they sound to normal folks.

These people not understanding the irony of "learn to code" while asking for sympathy, and that they are completely to blame for their lack of viewership is glorious. Cracks me up. Learn to code sucka's!
