Just in case you are new to SIGforum, I would like to introduce you to an outstanding member (davetruong) and the business behind him (Mimi's Jewelry).

Dave had been an active member of the forum since 2006. I have seen countless threads where he has offered up advice, opinions, and karmas. If you take the time, you'll see he is the real deal and a great person. I'm sure other members will join in singing his praise. The forum has come to accept him as "the guy" for help with purchasing jewelry or higher end watches.

I have also seen countless threads about the great things he and his shop do for other forum members when helping out with purchasing a special gift for loved ones. Here's a quick search of them from other members.

Well, I would also like to praise and support his team there at Mimi's Jewelry. I have reached out to Dave and his team twice now and twice they have exceeded my expectations. My first contact was to see if they could take a logo and somehow turn it into a necklace for my wife. I gave them the logo that looked like this:

They returned a final product that looks like this: That isn't a dent on the upper right side or bottom, it's the reflection of the light in the room.

The next time I reached out, I wanted one of those necklaces that have a single initial on it as well as something with our children's names on it. Not wanting the average ordinary font everyone gets, I snapped a pic of how my wife writes her letter A:

The team at Mimi's took that and etched it onto the piece. I had also seen a style of necklace with names on it and shared a pic for them to understand my goal. We worked through sizing and here is the final result of the two:

These items I had commissioned are one off items that they made in house there at Mimi's Jewelry. Getting the latter two from another source could have been possible, but from other sources they would likely have been generic and plated items. These are better than that, you truly do get what you pay for.

So, if you find yourself needing something for that special someone or even yourself, it's well worth your time to reach out and see if Dave and Mimi's can help. Buy with confidence. Here is the contact info from the website:

Wow, impressive artisanal work!

Dave always amazes across all aspects as a craftsman, a businessman and as a person.

Amazing work!
Dave did an amazing job on my wife's wedding ring, repairing some questionable work by a prior jeweler & making some changes.
No one else I'd go to.

Glad to do it and get the chance to show off you and your shop's skills.

Guys, it really is easy, just reach out and share your ideas. If they can be done it'll be painless. Smile

I couldn’t agree more! Dave is a true artisan using the medium of precious stones and metals to create stunning pieces! I have one of his Molon Labe rings.
